When the rain paused over Milan, so did we. In that quiet moment, @andrewshayemoran shared his heart — not as a model, but as a teacher, mentor, and advocate for Native youth.

Hailing from Poplar, Montana, Andrew represents the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes, carrying his heritage and the strength of his community with pride. More than a walk on the runway, it’s a walk for the next generation — a reminder that culture, purpose, and heart can shine anywhere in the world.

We are so excited to bring Jen over Benally's incredible pieces to Milan for our collaboration shoot. @shinymoon.creations Woven Echoes is more than a fashion line, it’s a tribute. Designer Jennifer J. Benally, an enrolled citizen of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, honors her Diné grandmother’s Two Grey Hills rug weaving and the generations of women who carried forward strength, story, and tradition through every thread.

With over 30 years of experience, Jennifer blends Indigenous tradition with modern fashion, drawing from her Diné and Haudenosaunee roots. A 2023 graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts and former Nike Color & Trend intern, she continues to create wearable masterpieces that instill confidence and celebrate culture.

Her work has been featured at Santa Fe Indian Market, Red Earth, Heard Museum Guild Indian Art Market, and more. Now, she’s bringing Woven Echoes with us to Milan. Every piece is a story. Every thread is a prayer. Every design is a remembrance.

Milan Fashion Week is 5 days away, and we just completed the red buckskin dress I will be wearing in honor of MMIP. Looking back to our loss, there will always a piece of our hearts missing, wondering, asking why, how could this have happened, and what can I do now. In a time where our native people still get overlooked, forgotten, and disregarded we are honored to make a statement in Milan of the love, remembrance and the strength we carry for those that are no longer with us - and our continuous prayerful support. Art has been a major healing element in my life, this particular full garment & accessory design was intentionally created with dyed red buckskin, eagle feathers, turquoise, brass, gold and silver elements - additonally, we are partnering our jewelry elements with two incredible jewelers @matthewcharleyoriginals and @edmiyster to complete the final look. ❤️🥹

7 DAYS TO MILAN! ✈️ History is in motion. In just seven days, we will travel to Milan, Italy to showcase designs by Rebekah Jarvey X Isabella Rose on the global stage during Milan Fashion Week.

This marks history in the making for Native artists and designers to present at one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events. From the runways of New York, Paris, Vancouver, Toronto, Santa Fe, and beyond, Rose and Rebekah have carried their heritage and communities with pride, building bridges of visibility, authenticity, and strength.

Our story will be captured in “Road to Milan,” an upcoming documentary produced by First Nations Network (FNX/PBS), spotlighting Indigenous women and men representing their tribes from across the USA as they bring culture, resilience, and artistry to the international runway. Stay tuned!
